Experience the joy and heartache of the world’s most popular opera, La Traviata, performed against one of the world’s most famous skylines.
Verdi’s music offers flying melodies, rousing drinking songs and heart-breaking duets in the opera that inspired Moulin Rouge and you’ll recognise from Pretty Woman. Literally translating to 'The Fallen Woman', La Traviata is the tragic tale of Parisian courtesan, Violetta, who attempts to leave the life she knows behind to finally find true love.
This glamorous production was captured in front of a sold out audience on its return to Sydney Harbour’s magnificent water stage in 2021 and features lively choreography, beautiful costumes, spectacular fireworks and a breath-taking soaring 9 metre high, 3.5 tonne chandelier covered in 10,000 shimmering Swarovski crystals.
